What it costs, and where to find it

Straight answer first: we do not set the rates here, so you will not find a number on this page. Here is who does, and the fastest route to a current one.

Why there is no price list

The building at 2020 Eye St is run by an operator partner. They set and publish the rates for private offices, desks and meeting rooms, and they run the booking system those rates live in. Mesh runs the community side of the building.

That means a price list on this website would be a copy of someone else's, out of date the first week it changed, and not ours to quote. Rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind, we will send you straight to the live one.

Current rates, by what you need

Each of these opens the operator's live listing for that space, with today's availability.

Private offices

A team of 1–20 who need a door that closes

Coworking & day passes

Hot desks, dedicated desks, and a full day with no commitment

Meeting rooms

By the hour, members and non-members alike

Availability and rates are handled by the building operator, on their site.

Virtual office

Virtual office plans sit behind a login on the operator's side, so there is no listing we can link you straight to. Tell us how you want your mail handled and we will confirm the tier and what it costs today.

What actually changes between the options

This is usually the real question behind "how much is it" — not the number, but what you get for moving up a tier. None of this depends on the rate card.

Feature Day pass Hot desk Dedicated desk Private office
Best for A day in town Most weeks, no fixed seat Nearly every day A team, with a door
Your own desk No No Yes Yes
Leave your things No No Yes Yes
Lockable door No No No Yes
Commitment None Month to month Month to month Flexible monthly terms

Only need the address and somewhere for post to land? A virtual office covers that on its own, with no desk attached.

The fastest route to a real number

A tour takes about fifteen minutes. You see what is actually free this week rather than what was free last month, and you leave with a quote for your situation instead of a range.

Tours are booked through the building operator. Everything else — questions, events, specialty bookings — comes straight to us.

Common questions

Why are there no prices on this website?

Because they are not ours to publish. The building at 2020 Eye St is run by an operator partner who sets and publishes the rates for offices, desks and meeting rooms. Any figure we printed here would be second-hand and out of date the week it changed, so we send you to the live listing instead.

Who actually sets the rates?

The building operator. They handle rates, availability and booking. Mesh runs the community side — the members, the events, the introductions, and the people at the front desk. Same team on site, same address, same phone number.

Can you give me a ballpark?

We would rather not guess, and an out-of-date number helps nobody. Rates move with availability, so the live listing for whatever you need is both faster and correct. If you want a real figure for your actual situation, book a tour and you will get one the same day.

What is the fastest way to get a real number?

Book a tour. It takes about fifteen minutes, you see what is genuinely available rather than what was available last month, and you leave with a quote for your situation. If you cannot get in, use the availability links on this page or send us a message and we will point you at the right person.

Do I have to book through the operator?

For rooms, desks and offices, yes — that is where availability and payment live. For anything else, talk to us directly. Tours, questions about the community, events, and specialty bookings like photo shoots or workshops all start with a message to us.

Is Mesh still Mesh?

Yes. Mesh Cowork has been Bakersfield's coworking community since 2015 and still is. The building is run by an operator partner, which changed who handles the booking system and the rate card, and changed nothing about who is in the room. Same address, same phone, same people.
