Bakersfield's original coworking community
Mesh Cowork opened in 2015 as a locally owned space where downtown Bakersfield could work, meet, and build together. A decade later, that's still exactly what we are.
We're the in-the-know friend of the Bakersfield business community. The one who knows who you should meet, who has your coffee ready and the best internet, and who introduces you by your best feature. Hundreds of freelancers, startups, nonprofits, and small businesses have called Mesh home, and the connections made here have started companies, filled jobs, and turned strangers into collaborators.
What we're about
- Connection. The right people at the right time, so everybody thrives.
- Collaboration. An expert is sitting right next to you. Go ahead and ask.
- Hospitality. Fast internet, good coffee, flat rates, and a space built around you.
- Inclusiveness. Everyone's welcome, and we send business each other's way.
- Productivity. We handle the details so you can focus on your work.
Today the downtown workspace runs alongside the flexible-office operator at our building, and Mesh keeps doing what it has always done best: the community, the events, and the local know-how that make this more than a place with desks.

Where to find us
Mesh is at 2020 Eye St in Bakersfield, CA 93301 — in the middle of downtown, walking distance from the courthouse, county offices, and the restaurants on 19th Street. Free parking, so a meeting downtown doesn't start with a lap around the block. Someone is at the front desk Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm, with an hour off at midday; members have their own access outside those hours.
Coming in from further out in the Valley? Here's what the trip looks like from Visalia. Call (661) 769-6374 or send us a message and we'll show you around.
